JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Plumber / Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to read and interpret schematics. This role involves assembling, maintaining, and repairing piping systems in various settings, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a plumber or pipefitter is essential.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics, this must include ventilation and air conditioning systems.
  • Proficient in basic maths for measurements and calculations related to plumbing tasks.
  • Experience with welding and soldering techniques is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
  • Familiarity with various hand tools and power tools used in plumbing work.
  • A valid plumbing qualification or apprenticeship completion is preferred but not mandatory for all applicants willing to learn on the job.

Responsibilities

  • MUST be able to work under on their own with minimum guidance from drawings, schematics and operation manuals.
  • Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Perform welding and soldering tasks as required for pipe fittings and connections.
  • Conduct regular inspections of piping systems to identify any issues or necessary repairs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure seamless project completion.
  • Troubleshoot issues with plumbing systems and implement effective solutions.
