Functions include legal, finance, human resources, communications, property management, health and safety, information management, security, and strategy, governance and risk. The Māori Capability Uplift Programme also sits within the branch. The Commercial Services team is responsible for all things procurement and commercial at DIA. That means we’re involved in everything from leading major procurement projects that shape the department’s future, to providing practical commercial advice that helps teams make smart decisions, through to managing contracts and ensuring compliance. We’re the trusted procurement and commercial advisor for the entire organisation - making sure processes run smoothly, suppliers deliver value, and DIA can focus on what matters most: serving New Zealanders. This Commercial Procurement and Planning Coordinator role sits within the Commercial Services team, and reports to the Team Leader Commercial ICT & Capability. What you’ll do Coordinate procurement and contract administration across ICT and Corporate teams Maintain accurate databases and reporting systems Support stakeholders with procurement advice and templates Organise meetings, workshops, and education sessions to uplift commercial capability Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and special projects We're looking for someone who is… Super organised and great at keeping things on track Comfortable working with databases (bonus points if you’ve dabbled in procurement – but it’s not a dealbreaker!)
