DESCRIPTION

Our Surrey based client is seeking a permanent Commercial Property Accountant to join the team.
Competitive salary in the $80,000 to $90,000 range

Reporting to the Controller, responsibilities include:

  • Accurate and timely preparation of monthly financial statements for a portfolio of commercial properties
  • Completing annual budgets, preparing supporting schedules and accurate property forecast and budget information
  • Complete year end operating cost adjustments and tenant billings
  • Ensure all GST and other legislated taxes and assessments are reconciled and remitted
  • Monthly/quarterly surplus funds distribution reports
  • Monitor and review accounts receivables/payables accuracy, adjustments, and/or corrections
  • Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts

Successful Candidate:

  • Previous full-cycle accounting experience an asset
  • 2+ years commercial property accounting experience
  • Strong accounting systems and MS Excel experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
