About the role Provide quotations and secure complex new business and renewals while offering technical support, coaching, and leadership to underwriters and the broader property owners team. Manage workflows for SME property owners—including new business, renewals, and policy endorsements—to uphold quality service standards for key partners. Identify and convert profitable new business opportunities, maximize retention of preferred accounts, and ensure alignment with divisional objectives and portfolio balance. Build and maintain relationships with, brokers and internal stakeholders through direct engagement and ongoing market intelligence gathering. Underwrite insurance risks within delegated authority, escalate complex cases appropriately, and ensure compliance with contract certainty requirements while driving process improvements. About you Holds tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline with significant experience in insurance, underwriting, operations within a complex, matrixed general insurance or financial services organization. Demonstrates strong analytical and critical thinking skills, capable of interpreting complex data to identify patterns, trends, and insights for informed decision-making. Exhibits high attention to detail, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy in task completion, and quickly identifying errors or inconsistencies in information. Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, effectively conveying clarity, impact, and influence in interactions. A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
