Description Trenam Law is seeking experienced Commercial Real Estate Lending Paralegal candidates. A paralegal in this practice should have 3-5 years of experience in a sophisticated real estate practice, be able to handle a significant volume of deals and have the self-confidence to manage the life-cycle of a lending deal. Additional Required Skills Current, or very recent, law firm experience representing lenders is preferable. Must understand and have extensive experience drafting commercial loan documents; including construction, refinance, and asset-based loans, as well as documents related to acquisitions, sales, and leases. Diligence experience (entity, title, survey, etc.) is required. Must be able to prepare, monitor and maintain checklists; review deliveries and documents produced for due diligence; and promptly identify and troubleshoot issues related to commercial transactions. Ability to understand and summarize complicated sales contracts and leases. Complex real estate transactions experience may qualify if drafting, diligence and closing experience is comparable. Must fully understand and take appropriate ownership of the transaction process, from engagement to post-closing. Must be able to interact effectively with all parties to a transaction, including attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, lenders, title companies, etc. . Requirements Strong organizational skills, ability to learn and adapt to new technology, and an ability to utilize MS Office applications effectively (e.g., Word, Excel, and Outlook) will be needed to execute job duties successfully. Should either be a FRP or fully qualified for certification. A professional demeanor and appearance, positive attitude, and willingness to work in concert with others are invaluable assets.
