Description TITLE: Commercial Relationship Banker DEPARTMENT: 910 – Commercial Lending JOB SUMMARY: The Commercial Relationship Banker is responsible for establishing and maintaining commercial relationships, client retention and business development. This position will oversee portfolios and grow client relationships while providing high level financial clarity to internal and external stakeholders. In select markets, this role will also have responsibility for leading the bank’s efforts in the implementation and initiation of programs to originate Community Development and Small Business loans, in compliance with the Community Reinvestment (CRA) Regulations. This position will design and champion a CRA action plan framework in accordance with the bank wide, CRA strategy, specifically related to small business and community development loan growth. This position may also assist with the development and delivery of products and services in low- and moderate-income communities within Bank’s assessment areas and represent the Bank in appropriate forums for community outreach and lending opportunities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Establish and maintain client referral relationships. • Works with other departments to maximize cross-selling opportunities of full range of banking products. • Perform commercial loan process from application to closing. • Analyze financial information and research background documentation on personal and business financial statements and tax returns. • May perform customer inquiry to resolve discrepancies on past due loans and renewals. • Support loan decisions and present loan applications for review as appropriate. • May communicate and provide updates on loan status. • Maintain and nurture client relationships to ensure optimum client satisfaction. • May obtain necessary loan documentation prior to closing and maintain a robust loan portfolio. • Participate in annual review of loans and monitors compliance and loan agreements. • Identify and manage elevated risk loans through established monitoring. • Comply with all company or regulatory policies, procedures and requirements that are applicable to this position. • Consistently invest in fostering key relationships for clients and team members. • Foster and preserve a culture of inclusion. • Additional duties and responsibilities may be required to support the company’s mission, vision, and values. QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor's degree or equivalent. • Minimum three years in sales or client service; financial services industry experience desired. • Experience in commercial lending, regulatory, and other applicable banking laws and regulations. • Strong customer service skills including the capability to establish rapport with clients. • Capability to work and collaborate with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and professional manner. • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. WORKING CONDITIONS: • Duties performed in a professional office environment. • Requires travel to other bank locations or client sites. • Evening and weekend work as needed. SALARY & BENEFITS: The minimum salary for this position is $65,000 annually. The actual starting salary will be based on qualifications and business needs and may vary, as permitted by applicable state law.
