Description
Grind and polish metal. Use spot welding equipment, welds appropriate parts together based on specifications. Run samples and check product quality against prints. Adjust robot spot welder and manual to properly weld material based on thickness and finish manual. Perform all quality checks, fill out daily activity reports, and enter time recording in SAP. Recognizes robot error recovery. Ability to flex from manual to robot spot welder and vice versa, as needed Read and interpret work order appropriately and load the corresponding robot program Perform log test (first article inspection) Being able to recognize tooling misalignments as product is loaded for spot weld and robot weld. Performance daily/weekly minor preventive maintenance Monitor and adjust the weld fixtures to maintain quality standards in Robot weld/Making minor adjustments Ability to run the machine in manual mode Provide support/training for other associates on machine operations and error recovery. Change and maintain welding tips as necessary for manual and robot spot weld Performs 5S & Continuous Improvement activities and complete tasks on the TPM board. Train others as needed Other duties as assigned. Manual Spot-welding experience required High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered Ability to lift 50 lbs. alone occasionally to frequently, and up to 100 lbs. with assistance occasionally by stooping, reaching, bending. Ability to read blueprints and use simple measuring tools. Ability to follow directions, work independently and close attention to detail. Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product. Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate. Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours in a shift, as needed by the business. Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitious tasks.
