Commercial Roofing Assistant Project Manager Location: Springfield, MA Territory: Projects throughout New England (MA, CT, RI, NH, VT, ME) Job Type: Full-Time JD Rivet Roofing, a sister company of Ameritech contracting, is seeking a motivated and organized Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the successful planning and execution of roofing projects across New England. The APM works closely with Project Managers, Foremen, suppliers, and clients to help coordinate scheduling, materials, documentation, and project communication. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow into a Project Manager position while gaining hands-on experience in roofing and construction project management. Key Responsibilities Project Coordination Assist Project Managers with planning, scheduling, and coordinating projects Track project milestones, timelines, and daily progress Support project start-up and closeout activities Communicate with Foremen and field crews regarding schedules, materials, and job site needs Help coordinate subcontractors and labor resources Conduct occasional site visits to monitor progress and assist with issue resolution Material & Logistics Management Coordinate ordering and delivery of roofing materials and equipment Confirm deliveries and ensure materials meet project specifications Track inventory and assist with material usage reporting Documentation & Administration Maintain project documentation including contracts, permits, change orders, and daily reports Assist with job costing, budget tracking, and invoice processing Organize project files and ensure accurate record keeping Provide project updates to clients, property managers, and general contractors Help respond to client questions and coordinate project logistic Support implementation of OSHA safety standards and company safety policies Help ensure job sites maintain safe working conditions Qualifications 2–4 years of experience in construction or project coordination (roofing or exterior trades preferred) Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Familiarity with construction documents and project workflows Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites throughout New England What JD Rivet Roofing Offers Competitive salary based on experience Hands-on training and mentorship from experienced Project Managers Career advancement opportunities within the company Travel opportunities throughout New England Health benefits and paid time off Job incentives based on performance We are an equal opportunity employer
