The ideal candidate for this role will possess 1-2 years of experience in a similar position within the energy, telecoms, or financial services sectors, with a strong emphasis on outbound phone-based sales. A third-level education is preferred. The successful candidate must be driven, ambitious, and eager to make a positive impact through their work. They should have strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, and a solid understanding of digital sales and social selling. Excellent communication skills, a strong customer focus, and exceptional negotiation skills are essential. Additionally, the candidate should exhibit a proactive, self-motivated work ethic, ensuring they can thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Flogas is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Agent to join our Commercial Sales team. This role will play a key part in expanding our commercial customer base across the Republic of Ireland through a targeted programme of multi-channel sales and customer retention initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively engage in outbound sales and retention calls to commercial customers, building strong relationships and ensuring continued customer satisfaction.
  • Renegotiate and renew customer contracts through digital platforms and phone conversations, ensuring competitive pricing and tailored solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Implement strategies to minimise customer churn by effectively communicating the value of our diverse product range, addressing customer concerns, and offering tailored retention incentives.
  • Handle inbound customer sales and renewal inquiries with a consultative approach, providing expert advice on products, services, and pricing to maximise conversion rates.
  • Identify and capitalise on cross-selling opportunities, educating customers on additional products and services that can enhance their experience and drive revenue growth.
  • Proactively re-engage with lost customer accounts, leveraging insights to understand past challenges and offering compelling solutions to win back business.
  • Champion our ‘Customer First’ culture by delivering a professional, knowledgeable, and customer-focused approach in all interactions.
  • Support additional sales initiatives across the company, including participation in events and promotional campaigns to drive brand awareness and generate new business opportunities.
