Our Northern California team is currently seeking a Commercial Service Electrician to support our service department by performing electrical service, repairs, and 24/7 emergency support for commercial facilities, delivering reliable solutions our clients depend on. We are currently seeking a Commercial Electrical Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and install commercial electrical systems. In this role, you will independently perform service calls, troubleshoot electrical issues, and work on equipment such as generators, transfer switches, and other commercial electrical systems while accurately documenting work order progress. Technicians begin each day from their home base and travel directly to job sites, providing efficient service to our clients. This position offers a Monday–Friday schedule, along with a company vehicle and gas card to support daily service operations. Responsibilities Electrical diagnosis, maintenance, and installation of various commercial electrical wiring, power, and conduit systems Skilled in pulling and terminating wires in control centers, panels, distribution boxes, transformers, transducers, switchgear, receptacles, switches, and/or raceways Proficient in troubleshooting, testing, and repairing emergency generators and temporary power systems, including automatic transfer switches and/or power distribution systems Knowledge of and experience with refrigeration control wiring, Ansul systems, and/or HVAC motor control wiring is preferred Ability to work independently from blueprints, sketches, and schematic drawings Provide informative customer service regarding the nature of electrical repairs Operate company vehicles in accordance with department policies Proficient in the use of cell phone communication, GPS, and electronic documentation technology Submit service paperwork and reports as required by department policy Available to work Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday as part of the regular schedule Willingness to take on additional duties as needed to support the department Requirements Five or more years of commercial electrical experience in commercial electrical service or construction roles Pass a pre-employment drug test and a motor vehicle background check Proficient English communication skills required to write reports and emails Must be able to work according to safety guidelines, OSHA, and workplace policies About the Company Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is a commercial service and construction company with over 20 years of experience delivering high-quality electrical and plumbing solutions across California and other states.
