Description Preconstruction Planning- Once assigned a project, the SS will work with the PM to execute pre-construction tasks including: o Reviewing/Drafting Project Schedule o Assessing labor needs o Identifying Safety concerns o Review material and design and compare to the site to identify construction issues- access to conduit runs, material lift access, plans matching with site conditions, etc… o Drafting stakeholder submittals o Communicating pre-construction progress with internal and external stakeholders/ (would like it to have something identifying the needs for constant daily, weekly, job logs, reporting and constancy communication internally and externally o Coordinate and Work with engineers on site as needed o Quality control and documentation o Daily oversite of subs and site workers o Developing bids from subcontractors or vendors o Developing intimate familiarity with project design and construction methodology Onsite Project Coordination- The SS is responsible for overseeing all on-site work for their assigned solar projects. They are the primary point of contact for subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors on active projects. The Site Supervisor must take ownership of all on-site activities and is primarily responsible for maintaining the project schedule, coordination of all trades, jobsite maintenance, security and safety, material deliveries, and quality control. Onsite duties include: o Enforcing Safety requirements- OSHA and internal o Lead and maintain pace and morale on site o Quality Control- understanding Code as well as internal best practices to ensure all work conforms with both o Project Schedule- Daily Logs and weekly look ahead to track project timeline and labor utilization o Flagging design changes or changes in materials needs to the PM o Coordination with other trades and internal labor and subcontractors o Material storage and checking materials received against picklist o Communication with customer or customer representatives onsite o Contributing to installation efforts on an as-needed basis o Managing equipment maintenance, contracts, etc. o Maintaining site cleanliness and security to client and internal standards o Facilitate AHJ and third-party inspections o Maintain on site drawing and AHJ required documentation Reporting- In addition to the daily logs for active job sites with SS will need to: o Update active project schedules weekly o Coordinate with PM to forecast future project timelines o Forecast changing labor needs o Tracking expenditures o Safety event reporting Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Construction Management, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field is preferred. Previous experience and knowledge of project management, especially solar. Ability to read & interpret electrical and mechanical drawings required Relationship and team builder that displays an awesome, “can-do” attitude and excellent customer services skills. Clear understanding and ability to enthusiastically promote safe workplace practices and procedure Patient, professional, and adaptable to a wide range of people and backgrounds. Ability to communicate with peers, supervisor, and all other external individuals both effectively and respectfully Strong attention to detail and comfortable with multi-tasking in a deadline-driven environment (we believe “everything speaks”) Exceptional oral and written communication, presentation skills and demonstrated ability to effectively engage a variety of diverse people, both internally and externally. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 – Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams and Sharepoint. Passionate about renewable energy and providing best-in-class customer service support. Able to learn new technologies, quickly becoming the expert of a rapidly evolving set of technology needs Drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle records search will be required in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations. Must be at least 18 years old with a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record in accordance with Tiger policy
