Description

We’re looking for an experienced and driven Commercial Team Lead to join our high-performing Commercial function. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop a team of Senior, Commercial, and Junior Commercial Managers, helping to deliver our supplier strategies and drive profitable growth.
As Commercial Team Lead, you will lead by example – supporting your team, owning your supplier portfolio, and delivering best-in-class relationships both internally and externally. You’ll bring strong commercial thinking, a solutions-focused mindset, and the confidence to influence at all levels.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of Senior, Commercial, and Junior Commercial Managers
  • Own your supplier portfolio, working collaboratively with the wider Commercial and Sales teams
  • Deliver against agreed sales, margin, and supplier term targets
  • Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships with clear joint business plans
  • Improve cashflow and profitability by negotiating competitive pricing, resolving aged debt, and recovering costs on overstocks and out-of-date stock
  • Provide tailored product ranges and promotions to customers using a category management approach
  • Represent DCS at meetings, events, and industry forums
  • Ensure compliance with Good Distribution Practice in all product-related activity
  • Communicate effectively across all departments and external stakeholders
