What you will be doing as a Commercial Tire Technician: ForTires: remove, install, rotate, balance, and perform flat repairs on commercial and large equipment tires (in shop or at customer location) For Retreads: prepare retreads (discuss tread with customer, prepare work order, put in staging area, load in truck), unload treads (unload from truck and stack in warehouse area) Drive service truck to customer locations and requested road service calls. Equipment: raise and lower vehicles safely with hydraulic or floor jacks, safely operate all shop machinery, operate and maintain diagnostic equipment Read work orders thoroughly and perform all listed tasks Perform all applicable tasks within company’s time standards Requirements What boxes you have to check: Must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner. Must have a valid driver’s license; driving record must meet company’s insurance requirements. Position requires continuous standing, bending, lifting and ability to lift up to 50+ pounds. The ability to work in a fast-paced customer service-oriented environment. Team Player: Works well as a member of a group. Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well. Must pass a pre-employment background check/drug screen Service Truck Driver Minimum Job Requirements: Accountability – Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions Customer-Oriented – Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following company procedures Detail-Oriented – Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task Reliability – The trait of being dependable and trustworthy Safety-Conscious – Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety Schedule Flexibility – Employee must be flexible on scheduled hours realizing that business hours are dictated by customer needs and can run past scheduled ending times or start before scheduled beginning times. Technical Aptitude – Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information. Working Under Pressure – Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations. Service Truck Driver Physical Demands / Work Environment Frequent squatting, bending, and twisting. Lifting: frequent lifting over 50 pounds from ground to chest high. Repetitive motion. Sustained Vibrations. Standing for extended periods of time. Read ticket and perform work listed; write confirmation and recommendation. Environment: Work in environment that is not climate controlled. Temperatures range from extremely hot to extremely cold, depending on the season. Vision (Near, distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception) Sense of sound (Alarms, horns and motorized equipment). PPE: Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Safety Glasses, gloves, safety harnesses, steel reinforced footwear)
