Introduction
Due to expiation Smeets is currently seeking full time, permanent Commercial/Planning to work directly with the Planning Team in our office in Felixstow. You will be responsible for executing the daily Eastbound reloads plan effectively. The successful candidates will train on Eastbound Traffic.
The ideal candidates must be confident and willing to call clients. The Eastbound planning role does include a lot of telephone work in order to book reloads and work as a team.

Ideal person
The ideal candidates will come from a transport background, or similar industry. You may also have come from an outbound telesales role, or a Business Development role. You will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience and have the ability to work alone, as well as in a team. Communication is key in both of these roles.

Responsibilities
· Ensure all customer processes are followed for exports
· Manage the planning of all Eastbound loads, managing all email communication with senior planners
· Support senior planners with requested activity, including, but not exhaustive, contacting drivers, subcontractors, communicating the plan to everyone involved
· Deliver plans and communicate any relevant issues to the relevant person
· Customer service
· Promoting the business and calling new and existing clients for reloads, as this is an essential part of the role
Full training will be given when starting the role
