Description
Support upfitter and end user customer needs and drive program content to meet or exceed expectations. Work with upfitters and end user customers to co-create vocational requirements to deliver chassis content and meet customer demand. Collaborate with Ford of Europe (FoE) requirement SME counterpart to align on common North America and FoE Commercial Vehicle and Police requirements. Established and active employee resource groups Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering field of study (Electrical or Mechanical preferably) 4+ years of automotive or engineering experience, and preferably within the Commercial Vehicle space Design & Release and/or Vehicle Systems Engineering experience Strong knowledge of Ford Product Development and Vehicle Engineering organizations Technical knowledge of Commercial Vehicles and upfitter industry and knowledge of Regulatory Requirements (FMVSS/CMVSS, Emissions) Outstanding communications skills both oral and written - summarize & articulate pertinent issues Strong interpersonal skills a must - with outstanding customer mindset to understand their issues Problem solving mindset - strong desire to help customers with their requirements, have a “can do” attitude, help resolve issues between Ford & upfitter
