Job Details Job Location: Corporate - Greeley, CO 80631 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $125.00 - $150.00 Salary/year Summary: The Commercialization Director concurrently leads and manages all protein-based, consumable products through the Commercialization phase of the C2C (Culinary to Commercialization) process. Manages the change of control process from Product Development through Commercialization to Production Scale and Integration, to ensure effective and concise program/project documentation and communications. Coordinates execution elements such as planning, schedules, and resource allocation. Navigates new concept development, process standardization, and quality. Champions workplace safety, food safety, HACCP and GMP programs, fostering a shared vision and strategy to achieve Operations Excellence. In this role the Commercialization Director will also work with Operation to optimize and continuously improve commercialized products. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Negotiate, develop and maintain project plans, dependencies and time frames with business and technology partners, while tactfully negotiating and communicating with teams on stakeholders’ expectations. Understand and communicate all elements of the commercialization project, the reason for the initiation, the intended customer and use, and the value to the Colorado Premium Foods’ business model. Collaborate with the various levels of leadership and senior staff to develop tactical plans for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), product pricing, and production capabilities control to ensure the consideration of current and future products. Participates in maximizing profitability, innovation, and cost savings initiatives. Collaborate with Culinary team and partner with Sales team to determine product launch timeline. Confirm first product run date and 1st order quantities with all business units to ensure project timelines are met. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of business operations while understanding the technical scope and objectives of assigned Commercialization projects to ensure that projects achieve desired business and technical objectives in the required timeline. Assesses each product’s lifecycle relative to the evaluation or development of new products, reviewing existing products for continuation and managing the abandonment of non-profitable/low margin items. While balancing best practices with reason and technical understanding, manage the project's release planning schedule from inception through post implementation via the development of readiness checklists, production implementation validation plans, post implementation support, and project close out. Director Commercialization Position Description – page two Education/Experience Bachelor’s degree in food science, production management, or related field, 5+years’ in manufacturing/supplier side development environment, preferably in a protein-related industry, including evidence of strategic and tactical expertise. Graduate degree is preferred. Proficient in MS Office Suite, and knowledge of industry product reporting systems. Ability to solve a wide range of complex, multi-disciplinary problems and must consider short and intermediate-term company-wide planning. Ability to deliver presentations regarding potentially controversial issues, which involve negotiation, and influence positive outcomes among groups of varying positions. Ability to improve existing systems or procedures that periodically result in innovative ideas or approaches of considerable significance.
