JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a passionate and hardworking Commis Chef to join our culinary team. The Commis Chef will support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and maintaining hygiene standards. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their culinary skills and grow within a professional kitchen environment.

• Assist in preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes according to company standards.
• Follow instructions from the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef in food preparation and service.
• Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and available for use.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations.
• Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines at all times.
• Assist in receiving, checking, and properly storing kitchen supplies.
• Learn and apply new cooking techniques and recipes as directed by senior chefs.
• Support in minimizing food waste and controlling portion sizes.
• Comply with health & safety regulations and report any issues to management.
