Job Title: Commis (Korean Cuisine)
Location: Dubai / Abu Dhabi
Job Type: Full-time/Part-time
Reports to: Chef de Partie / Sous Chef
Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Commis Chef to join our team at a Korean restaurant. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn the art of Korean cuisine and develop their culinary skills in a fast-paced, professional kitchen. You will assist in food preparation and cooking, ensuring high standards of quality, taste, and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing authentic Korean ingredients and dishes, including kimchi, banchan, and traditional marinades.
  • Support the kitchen team in cooking Korean specialties such as bibimbap, bulgogi, tteokbokki, jjigae (stews)
  • Follow traditional recipes and techniques to maintain authenticity and consistency in flavors.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and portion control.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of Korean ingredients
  • Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and compliant with food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Work efficiently within a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Assist in stock control, inventory management, and minimizing food waste.
  • Learn and develop Korean culinary techniques under the guidance of experienced chefs.

Requirements:

  • Previous kitchen experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Passion for Korean cuisine and a strong desire to learn.
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation, knife skills, and kitchen hygiene.
  • Ability to work well in a team and under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A food safety certificate is an advantage.
  • Tourist visa are welcome
