As a Commis 1, you will play a vital role in our kitchen operations, supporting our chefs in preparing high-quality dishes while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your culinary skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where your contributions directly impact our guests' dining experience. Prepare and service all food items for à la carte and buffet menus according to established recipes and organizational standards Maintain proper rotation of products in all chillers and storage areas to minimize wastage and spoilage Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment to meet health and safety requirements Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages, demonstrating responsibility and attention to detail Support fellow team members in a collaborative manner, actively contributing to a positive kitchen environment Actively share ideas, opinions, and suggestions during daily shift briefings to drive continuous improvement Ensure storeroom requisitions are accurate and complete, maintaining organized inventory records Develop comprehensive knowledge of all menu items, daily features, and promotions to support service excellence Remain calm and courteous while working under pressure, prioritizing guest satisfaction and quality outcomes Perform additional duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a goal-oriented approach to your role Qualifications Previous hands-on experience in a culinary or kitchen environment Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities with a collaborative mindset Highly responsible, reliable, and organized with excellent time management skills Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting Ability to work cohesively as part of a team while maintaining individual accountability Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and procedures Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks in a standing position for extended periods Ability to focus on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times Journeyman's papers or international culinary equivalent (preferred) Diploma or certification in a culinary discipline (preferred) Job-Category: Culinary Job Type: Permanent Job Schedule: Full-Time
