Job Description We're looking for a detail-oriented and organized Commis 1 (Bakery) to join our culinary team in Visakhapatnam, India. In this entry-level bakery position, you'll work alongside experienced bakers to prepare, bake, and finish a variety of baked goods while maintaining the highest standards of quality and food safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your baking skills in a fast-paced, professional kitchen environment. Prepare baking ingredients by measuring, sifting, and mixing according to established recipes and specifications Operate bakery equipment, including ovens, mixers, and proofing cabinets, following proper safety protocols Assist in the production of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked items while maintaining consistency in quality and presentation Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure products are baked to perfection Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery station, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations to prevent contamination and ensure product quality Assist with portioning, packaging, and labeling of finished baked goods Support senior bakers with specialized tasks such as decorating, filling, or assembling baked products Rotate stock using the first-in, first-out (FIFO) method to maintain ingredient freshness Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of orders Qualifications Foundational knowledge of baking techniques and basic pastry preparation Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards in a commercial kitchen Ability to follow recipes and instructions with precision and attention to detail Strong organizational and time management skills Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks Excellent teamwork and communication abilities Basic proficiency with bakery equipment and tools Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and procedures Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Previous experience in a bakery, pastry shop, or commercial kitchen (preferred) Familiarity with Indian baking traditions and regional specialties (preferred) Flexibility to work shifts, including early morning hours (preferred) Job-Category: Culinary Job Type: Graduate Job Job Schedule: Full-Time
