Job Description What you will be doing: Prepare the supplies and equipment needed for the daily operations of the Pastry kitchen in coordination with the Chef de Partie as required Assist in the preparation and assembly of pastry items, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and presentation standards Communicate to the Chef de Cuisine and Chef de Partie any updates on the operation, external or internal customer comments, and other relevant information to ensure the smooth operation of the section Ensure HACCP guidelines and municipality regulations are followed at all times, maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management, reporting any shortages or discrepancies to the Chef de Partie Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pastry section, including proper storage and labelling of ingredients and finished products Support senior pastry team members and contribute to a collaborative working environment, demonstrating willingness to learn and develop technical skills Qualifications Your experience and skills include: Previous experience in a similar role within a 5-star hotel setting and pastry section is an asset Good interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for service Proficiency in basic pastry techniques, including dough preparation, assembly, and plating Strong attention to detail and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks Physical capability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment Additional Information Our commitment to Diversity & Inclusion: We are an inclusive company and our ambition is to attract, recruit and promote diverse talent.
