Job Description We’re looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Full-Time Commis Chef to join our vibrant kitchen team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who is passionate about food, eager to learn and ready to build their career in a fast-paced, high-quality kitchen environment. You’ll play an important role in supporting the kitchen team by preparing ingredients, assisting with cooking and maintaining a clean and organised workstation. Working under the guidance of senior chefs, you’ll continue to develop your skills while contributing to smooth and efficient service. A key focus of this role will be supporting Coco’s Restaurant, so previous à la carte experience is highly regarded. Availability to work evening shifts from 2pm onwards is essential. What You’ll Do: Assist in the preparation and presentation of dishes across à la carte, buffet, banqueting and room service Support daily mise-en-place and kitchen prep to ensure service runs smoothly Prepare ingredients and cook basic dishes under the direction of senior chefs Maintain a clean and organised workstation in line with food safety and hygiene standards Work closely with the kitchen team to deliver consistent and high-quality meals Follow direction from senior chefs while building your technical skills and kitchen knowledge Contribute to a positive team environment and support efficient service during busy periods Qualifications We’re looking for someone who is passionate about developing their culinary career and eager to contribute to a high-performing team within a premium hotel environment. You’ll bring: Previous kitchen experience in a hotel or similar fast-paced environment Exposure to à la carte service, highly regarded particularly for restaurant service A solid understanding of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices Strong time management skills and the ability to stay organised under pressure A positive and team-focused attitude with clear communication skills Willingness to learn, take direction and continuously improve Flexibility to work a rotating roster with availability for evening shifts from 2pm onwards, weekends and public holidays Additional Information Why work for Accor?
