Casual Commis Chef

Join Our Events Kitchen Team!

We’re looking for a Casual Commis Chef to join our energetic kitchen team and support the delivery of high-quality food across our events.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about food, eager to learn and enjoys working in a fast-paced team environment.

About the Role

As a Commis Chef, you’ll support the kitchen team with:

• Food preparation and basic cooking
• Assisting with plating and presentation
• Preparing ingredients and maintaining kitchen stations
• Supporting chefs during busy service periods
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene
• Following recipes, portion controls and food safety procedures
• Working efficiently as part of a professional kitchen team
• Assisting with bump-in, service and pack-down for events when required

About You

• Passionate about food and hospitality
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Eager to learn and develop their culinary skills
• Able to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
• A strong team player with good communication skills
• Organised with excellent attention to detail
• Well-presented and professional
• Available to work casual shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays

Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is preferred, but we’re also keen to hear from enthusiastic cooks who are ready to learn and grow.

Pay: $33.85 – $69.93 per hour

Education:

• Certificate I - IV (Preferred)

Experience:

• Commercial Cooking: 1 year (Preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Commercial Cookery Qualification (Required)
• Work Location: In person
