JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in culinary techniques and a commitment to food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation and food preparation, ensuring that each dish meets our high standards of excellence. This position requires the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment while maintaining a clean and organised kitchen.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
  • A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques in meal preparation.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
  • Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and portioning.
  • Ensure all food safety protocols are followed, maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  • Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.
  • Maintain an organised workstation, ensuring all utensils and equipment are clean and ready for use.
  • Participate in menu development by providing feedback on dishes and suggesting improvements.
  • Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety standards.
