The Woodborough Inn is situated in the heart of Winscombe, surrounded by the picturesque Mendip Hills. Our mission is to provide a cozy and inviting atmosphere for our guests, whether they are enjoying a drink, snack, or full meal.
We are seeking a Commis / Chef de Partie to join our dynamic team at The Woodborough Inn in Winscombe. This role is vital to our mission of delivering exceptional dining experiences, contributing to both food preparation and service excellence.

Your responsibilities would involve:

  • Assist in food preparation and cooking under the guidance of senior kitchen staff.
  • Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are maintained.
  • Support the kitchen team in managing inventory and supplies.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality dishes in a timely manner.
  • Participate in menu planning and execution of daily specials.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
  • Engage with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment through effective communication.
  • Previous experience in food production or culinary roles preferred but not essential as full training provided.
  • Strong teamwork skills with a passion for hospitality.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
