JOB SUMMARY:

As a Commis Chef, you will support senior kitchen staff in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes, particularly Italian cuisine. You will rotate through sections to learn and contribute wherever needed, helping to maintain the high standards expected in a Michelin-recommended environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous kitchen experience preferred (ideally in a fine dining or high-volume setting)
  • Strong interest in Italian cuisine and culinary excellence
  • Good knife skills and understanding of kitchen basics
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Punctual, reliable, and eager to learn
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of Italian dishes to fine dining standards
  • Follow recipes and instructions precisely, ensuring consistency and quality
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation in accordance with hygiene regulations
  • Handle deliveries, stock rotation, and mise en place
  • Learn and contribute to various sections (pasta, grill, garnish, pastry, etc.)
  • Work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
  • Support senior chefs in daily prep and service
  • Follow all food safety and health & safety protocols
