Mr Good Guy is looking for a full time Commis Chef to join our team, help us celebrate the notion of Asian street food with a modern, urban twist at Mr Good Guy in Devonport! Join us, and become a Heartist® Job Description Ensure that food presented to guests align with property standards and is served within designated timeframes, whilst maintaining high quality and presentation Keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross-contamination Stay diligent in adhering to local regulations related to health, safety, and compliance, with a solid grasp of HACCP management Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships Report maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety and food safety legislation Awareness departmental targets and strive to achieve them as part of the team Be environmentally aware Handle a range of kitchen tasks, from dishwashing to crafting delectable dishes Qualifications A culinary artist with a passion for modern Asian cuisine (Experience in wok would be preferred) Trade qualification and experience in a similar role, preferably within a hotel environment The ability to communicate in a clear and articulate manner Detail-focused with the ability to deliver consistently high-quality food under pressure Energetic and proactive with enthusiasm to develop your culinary expertise A team player who easily builds rapport with colleagues and guests alike Flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends You must have working rights in Australia Additional Information What is in it for you?
