Hotel Kununurra is currently seeking a casual Commis Chef with a solid background in the hospitality industry to join our hardworking team.

Kununurra is located in the stunning Kimberley region of North-West, Western Australia that sits right on the border of the NT and is only an 8-hour drive to Darwin. Experience the beauty of the many springs and waterfalls. A mecca for barramundi fishing and only a short drive to Lake Argyle!

The Position:

Hotel Kununurra is seeking an energetic and proactive Commis Chef to support our kitchen team on a casual basis. You will be motivated, driven, embrace your career with passion, creativity, professionalism and commitment.

Our kitchen provides meals for our public bar and beer garden, in-house restaurant and hotel with 49 rooms. The restaurant would suit an a la carte chef and hosts 2 different menus and continental breakfast all year round.

Who we are looking for:

The successful applicant will posses the following qualities and skills;

• Previous experience with same position or higher
• A passion for food
• Hard working, reliable and flexible attitude
• Highly motivated
• A team player
• Experience in working in all section of kitchen including hot section, cold larder, function preparation, breakfast and bulk catering
• Ability to work positively within a high-pressure team environment to produce food as per requirements
