We are looking for a motivated and passionate Full Time Commis Chef to join the PLG team at The Cove in Patterson Lakes. You’ll focus on basic food preparation tasks, support experienced chefs, and maintain a clean and organised kitchen. This opportunity is ideal for kitchen professionals ready to kickstart their career!
The Cove Hotel is a premier dining and entertainment venue offering one of the most spectacular water views right on the marina in Patterson Lakes. The bistro offers contemporary casual dining in a relaxed setting; catering to both the traditional indoor style seating, by the fireplace and an enclosed deck area capturing the view of the marina.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook menu as per cooking guidelines and set standards.
  • Support senior chefs and kitchen staff with various tasks, including food assembly and plating.
  • Ensure food and safety procedures are being followed.
  • Maintaining control and leadership in the kitchen during service times in allocated section.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workstation.
    The role you are applying for may be quite fast-paced and require you to complete tasks including but not limited to lifting boxes, kegs or stock, standing for long periods of time, and utilising stairs.
