Job Description We are currently seeking a Part-Time Commis Chef to join our professional and energetic kitchen team. This role offers the opportunity to work across a dynamic hotel food and beverage operation, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, while helping to create memorable dining experiences for our guests. Key responsibilities include: Prepare and present menu items with creativity and consistency, while adhering to cost controls Maintain strict stock rotation procedures and minimise waste Ensure all kitchen and work areas are kept clean, organised, and hygienic Assist with dishwashing and general kitchen cleaning as required Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and serviced, reporting any issues to the Head Chef Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will have: A relevant trade qualification and experience in a similar role, ideally within a hotel or restaurant environment (dinner service experience essential) Strong technical cooking skills across a range of styles and techniques Excellent communication and organisational skills A commitment to maintaining high and consistent standards A sound understanding of food safety practices and HACCP principles Valid Australian working rights The flexibility to work across a rotating roster including early mornings, evenings, weekend & public holidays Additional Information What’s in it for you An opportunity to Work Your Way, Learn Your Way and experience Benefits Your Way at Accor Ability to really contribute and feel pride in knowing you have made a difference to the greater good of the Hotel Operation Work alongside passionate industry professionals Job-Category: Culinary Job Type: Permanent Job Schedule: Part-Time
