Job Description
As a Commis Chef, you will support all areas of the kitchen as a true all-rounder. You’ll gain hands-on experience working across banqueting, in-room dining, and a la carte service, and will play a key role in delivering high-quality food that enhances our guest experience. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop a broad skillset in a dynamic luxury hotel environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist with food preparation and service across multiple kitchen operations including banquets and in-room dining
  • Ensure food quality, portion control, and presentation meet our five-star standards
  • Maintain cleanliness, organisation and hygiene in all kitchen areas
  • Work collaboratively with senior chefs to learn and grow within the team
  • Adhere to all food safety procedures and policies

Qualifications

Previous experience in a similar role

  • Trade qualified - Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
  • A passion for food and a creative flair
  • Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Team-focused attitude with motivation, energy and a desire to grow
  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts including weekends and public holidays
