Job Description Hotel Chadstone Melbourne MGallery is seeking a passionate and motivated Commis Chef to join our talented culinary team. This role offers a unique focus on Conference & Events and In-Room Dining, while also providing the chance to support across a range of dynamic outlets within the hotel. As Commis Chef, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality dishes across multiple service styles. From crafting elegant plated meals for corporate events to preparing delicious room service dishes for our guests, you’ll be part of a team that prides itself on excellence, creativity, and collaboration. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and present high-quality food with consistency and attention to detail Support Conference & Events and In-Room Dining operations, ensuring timely and professional service Assist senior chefs in maintaining kitchen standards and hygiene practices Be flexible to support other outlets as required, including breakfast, bar, and restaurant service Work calmly and efficiently under pressure during peak service times Contribute to a positive kitchen culture through teamwork, open communication, and a can-do attitude Qualifications Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery A team player with a positive mindset and strong work ethic Calm, focused, and reliable in high-paced environments Basic technical cooking skills and an eagerness to learn and grow A genuine passion for food and hospitality Previous kitchen experience in a hotel or events-based environment is desirable Flexibility with the ability to work across a 7-day roster Additional Information What’s in it for you...
