Part time Commis Chef
Award winning Porters Bar and Restaurant is currently looking for a part time chef to join our team. This is an amazing opportunity to be involved in a fast-growing business.
Situated at the heart of Dundee’s vibrant City Quay, Porters is just a stones throw from Dundee City Centre. By combining delicious, locally sourced, food and drink, stunning surroundings and of course great service, Porters is now the place to eat and socialise in Dundee.

The characteristics of a successful chef include honesty, integrity, accountability, excellent communication and dedication. As a Commis Chef, your role will include:

  • Preparing ingredients for senior chefs, ensuring great attention to detail for the menu specs provided.
  • Working to a high standard to ensure customers receive the best quality food.
  • Complying with all health and safety regulations and hygiene standards.
  • You must assist the Head Chef to ensure that the restaurant is always functioning properly.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in a similar role or a keen interest in pursuing a culinary career.
  • The ability to work in a fast paced and high pressured environment.
  • Availability to work shifts, including evenings and weekends as per business needs and turn up, ready to work
