We're seeking a talented and ambitious Commis Pastry Chef to join our esteemed culinary team at Hotel Chadstone Melbourne MGallery on a part-time basis. What you will do Assist the pastry team in the preparation and production of a variety of desserts and pastries for our à la carte restaurant, conference & events and high tea service. Learn and master fundamental pastry techniques, including baking, decorating, and plating, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation. Support in the development and execution of pastry menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative flavors. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the pastry kitchen, adhering to food safety standards at all times. Embrace opportunities for learning and skill development, actively seeking feedback and guidance from our experienced chefs. Qualifications What you need to be successful Certificate IV in Patisserie Passion for pastry and a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced, high-end culinary environment. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to take on new challenges. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team, with excellent communication skills. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
