Summary of Position: To prepare the food as per the menu with direction when required from the senior chef on duty, maintaining the quality with minimal wastage. Using a clean as you work philosophy, so the Kitchen is compliant with Health and Safety regulations. Give guidance, support and basic training to the Kitchen Assistants who support the Kitchen function from cleaning, cooking and managing supplies and store areas.

QUALIFICATIONS / ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

-Working standard should be NVQ or equivalent
-Strong internal customer care skills
-Ability to work under pressure
-Excellent attention to detail
- A high standard of personal presentation
-Confident, professional and welcoming personality

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the planning, preparation and production of food.
    -Support daily operations of the kitchen and live kitchen section  Assist in the stock control of food and beverages.
  • Adhere to professional standards of food presentation, production and portion control . Ensure the hygiene, cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen and food counters achieve total customer satisfaction and meet company standards.
    -Assist with the basic training for team members  Supports the CDP and Jnr Sous Chef with the running of the Kitchen .
    -Supports Health and Safety procedures, i.e. temperatures, COSHH etc .
    -Takes on responsibility for the smooth running of the kitchen in the absence of the Lead Chef  Any other request within the scope of the position .
