Rich River Golf Club is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef to join our professional culinary team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment, contributing to a range of dining experiences for our members, guests, and private functions including weddings, corporate events, and conferences.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

In this hands-on role, you’ll work collaboratively with our kitchen team to ensure consistent food quality and presentation across all service areas. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, cooking, portioning, freezing, and preserving food across a variety of service styles.
  • Operating all sections of the kitchen, including grill, pans, fryers, larder, pastry, butchery, and bain-marie.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised kitchen in accordance with food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards.
  • Assisting in supervision and training of kitchenhands, apprentices, or cooks as required.
  • Supporting kitchen operations during high-volume periods and special functions.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and/or relevant experience in a similar role.
  • A genuine passion for food and the hospitality industry.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to perform under pressure.
  • A high level of personal presentation and hygiene.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends, evenings, and public holidays
