Casual Commis Chef – Sixes & Sevens, Fortitude Valley

Sixes & Sevens is looking for a passionate and motivated Casual Commis Chef to join our kitchen team in Fortitude Valley.

We’re seeking someone who is enthusiastic about food, eager to learn, and thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Chef and kitchen team with the day-to-day operations of the kitchen.
• Prepare and cook menu items to company standards.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
• Work efficiently as part of a team during busy service periods.
• Follow food safety and hygiene procedures at all times.

• A genuine passion for cooking and hospitality.
• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Previous kitchen experience is preferred but not essential.

Pay: $33.05 – $39.66 per hour
