Commis Chef — Snug, Coorparoo

We're a small but growing corner of Coorparoo, and we're looking for a passionate commis or junior chef to grow with us.

Snug is a Korean-inspired all-day cafe and wine bar on Chatsworth Road — a neighbourhood spot built on genuine craft, care, and a kitchen that takes real pride in what it puts out. We work with a limited setup, but we don't let that dampen our ambition — we're constantly finding new ways to put out a top quality product, and that's something we're genuinely proud of. We're looking for someone who wants to be part of it.

What you'll be doing:

• Preparing and plating dishes across breakfast, lunch, and dinner service
• Upholding our standards of food quality, kitchen cleanliness, and organisation
• Bringing genuine craft and care to every shift
• Collaborating with a small, tight-knit team in a supportive kitchen environment

What we're looking for:

We're after someone with at least a year of kitchen experience who brings a genuine love of food and a team-first attitude. You'll need an open mind and a willingness to work in new ways — we think creatively and don't rely on conventional setups. No ego, just good work, reliability and a positive presence in the kitchen. And don't be fooled by our size — we hold ourselves to a high standard here, and we'll inspire you to do the same.
