KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Maintain elevated standards in food preparation, following correct cooking techniques and presentation, all while adhering to prescribed recipes and portion control parameters.
  • Collaborate with senior chefs to develop new menu items and seasonal specials, infusing creativity and innovation into every creation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, ensuring work surfaces, equipment, and storage areas are kept tidy and sanitised.
  • Adhere to strict hygiene and food safety protocols, promoting a safe and sanitary working environment.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance your pastry skills and expand your culinary knowledge.
  • Support sustainability initiatives, contributing to waste reduction efforts and environmentally friendly practices in the kitchen..
  • Engage in quality improvement projects and attend relevant training courses.
  • Actively participate in sustainable energy, water, and waste initiatives.
  • Contribute to fostering a motivating environment, enhancing revenue generation and cost savings within the culinary area.
