COMMIS CHEF

An exciting position has become available for part time or full time Chef to join our friendly team at The Passage House Inn, Topsham (Near Exeter, Devon).
The successful candidate will earn a competitive hourly rate depending on experience. We are looking for someone with a strong track record of producing quality food to ensure that all menu dishes are prepared with attention to detail and to the highest standard.
We love people with fresh and fun ideas, that enjoy and can thrive in a fast paced environment like ours. A passion for good, homemade food is something that we all share and would expect all our chefs to express in their food also.
(There is no accommodation included in this role)

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience of working in a busy kitchen. (Preferable)
  • Good knowledge of Health and Safety procedures.
  • Be able to work in a team and use own initiative.
  • Possess excellent time management skills.
  • Have a high attention to detail and be able to work under pressure and to time deadlines.
  • Be flexible to work a variety of hours, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Live within a commutable distance.

Duties Include:

  • Preparation of daytime, weekend and evening menus and daily specials.
  • Support all members of the kitchen team when necessary.
  • Keep up to date with the latest trends in the food service industry.
  • Adhering to all food hygiene and health and safety regulations.
  • Helping the kitchen team to thrive using your passion for food to help inspire your colleagues and customers.
