FOOD PREPARATION:

  • Preparing ingredients (chopping, slicing, dicing, etc.).
  • Assisting with cooking tasks under the guidance of more experienced chefs.
  • Ensuring ingredients are measured and prepared correctly.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Ensuring adherence to food hygiene and safety standards.
  • Assisting with stock rotation and inventory control.
  • Assisting with deliveries and receiving stock.
  • Setting up workstations and preparing ingredients before service.
  • Assisting with plating and garnishing dishes.
  • Learning basic culinary techniques and kitchen procedures.
  • Developing a strong understanding of food preparation and cooking methods.
  • Seeking opportunities for training and development.
  • Assisting with other tasks as directed by the Chef de Partie or Head Chef.
  • Working as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
