Al Hallab Restaurant is seeking a dedicated and motivated Commis Hot Kitchen to join our dynamic team. As a Commis Hot Kitchen, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and cooking of hot dishes in a fast-paced and high-quality kitchen environment. You will work closely with chefs to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen while maintaining our high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong passion for cooking and learning new skills in a professional kitchen.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle kitchen equipment safely.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of hot dishes under the supervision of the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
  • Follow standardized recipes and cooking techniques to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Ensure proper portion control and presentation of dishes before serving.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area and workstations.
  • Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and tools.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, including proper storage of ingredients.
  • Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Support in the stock rotation and inventory management to minimize wastage.
  • Learn and develop cooking techniques and knowledge under the guidance of senior chefs.
  • Contribute to a positive and professional kitchen atmosphere.
