As a Commis I, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations while specializing in Arabic cuisine. This position offers an excellent opportunity for aspiring chefs to gain valuable experience in a professional kitchen environment. Assist in the preparation of Arabic dishes, including appetizers, main courses, and desserts Follow recipes and cooking techniques as directed by senior kitchen staff Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards Properly handle and store ingredients, ensuring freshness and quality Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely food service Participate in menu planning and development of new Arabic dishes Assist in inventory management and stock rotation Contribute to a positive and productive kitchen atmosphere Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school diploma or certificate preferred Basic culinary skills and knowledge of Arabic cuisine Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices preferred Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and maintenance Knowledge of Arabic ingredients, cooking techniques, and Middle Eastern flavors Strong time management and organizational skills Excellent teamwork and communication abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays Basic English language skills; fluency in Arabic is a plus Job-Category: Culinary Job Type: Permanent Job Schedule: Full-Time
