Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Commis I specializing in Continental Cuisine to join our culinary team at ibis Styles Mysuru, India. As an entry-level position, this role offers an excellent opportunity for aspiring chefs to gain hands-on experience in a professional kitchen environment while honing their skills in Continental cuisine. Assist in the preparation of ingredients for Continental dishes, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning Support senior chefs in the execution of menu items, following recipes and plating instructions Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring proper use and cleanliness Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations and timely food delivery Assist in inventory management and stock rotation Participate in daily kitchen briefings and contribute ideas for menu improvements Learn and apply culinary techniques specific to Continental cuisine Qualifications Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification in culinary arts Food safety certification Basic knowledge of Continental cuisine and culinary techniques Proficiency in knife skills and food preparation methods Understanding of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately Excellent time management skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Good communication and teamwork skills Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary Willingness to learn and grow in the culinary field Previous internship or apprenticeship in a professional kitchen is preferred but not required
