Job Description Food preparation: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits; prepare ingredients and cook basic dishes like eggs, salads, and sandwiches. Station maintenance: Keep all cooking and preparation areas clean, organized, and hygienic throughout the shift. Assisting senior chefs: Support the Chef de Partie (station chef) with various tasks, including cooking, plating, and managing the station during busy periods. Quality and safety: Follow recipes and quality standards, control food portions, and adhere to all health and safety regulations. Stock control: Assist with receiving deliveries, managing inventory, and monitoring food stock to control costs and prevent waste. Equipment operation: Safely use and maintain all kitchen equipment, such as ovens, grills, and roasters. Training and development: Participate in training to learn new techniques and menu items and assist with training junior staff or new hires.
