Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate, reliable, and detail-oriented Commis I to join our Hot Kitchen team. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook hot dishes such as sauces, soups, main courses, and accompaniments according to menu specifications and quality standards. Assist in mise en place, portioning ingredients, and assembly of menu items for service within the hot kitchen section. Support Chef de Partie and other senior chefs in the efficient running of kitchen operations. Maintain strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations at all times. Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and correctly; report defects or hazards as required. Keep workstations, hot kitchen areas, equipment, and storage areas clean, organised, and presentable. Adhere to recipe guidelines, portion control measures, and wastage minimisation policies. Participate in kitchen training, daily briefings, and development sessions as directed by senior management. Assist with stock rotation, labelling, and day-to-day inventory management for hot kitchen ingredients. Required Skills & Experience – Hot Kitchen Culinary Recruitment Minimum1-2 years' experience in a hot kitchen environment, ideally within high-end hotels, restaurants, or private residences. Strong foundation in basic cooking techniques such as sautéing, roasting, grilling, and boiling. Understanding of kitchen safety, HACCP procedures, and allergen awareness. Keen attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and ability to follow instructions precisely. Demonstrated ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, multicultural team environment. Flexible, professional attitude with a willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required. Good spoken English; additional language skills are an advantage. A
