Job Description We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Fujairah Beach Resort as our new Commis I - Main Kitchen: Key Responsibilities: Assist in food preparation activities, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients Follow recipes and cooking instructions accurately under the guidance of senior chefs Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, kitchen equipment, and utensils Assist in the implementation of food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP guidelines Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food service operations Support in the preparation of mise en place for various stations in the kitchen Assist in plating and presentation of dishes according to established standards Participate in regular team meetings and briefings Contribute to maintaining proper inventory levels and minimizing food waste Adapt to changes in menu items and cooking techniques as required by the culinary team Qualifications Passion for luxury hospitality and exceptional service Strong interpersonal and communication skills Attention to detail and commitment to excellence Ability to work as part of a diverse, dynamic team Previous experience in a luxury hotel environment is an asset A proactive, solution-oriented approach Hygiene and Food Safety Management Cost Control Good culinary knowledge Flexible and adaptable to different working locations Embrace the Fairmont brand promise and luxury in your role and in all your interactions Foster an inclusive environment where every individual feels valued and respected
