Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis I to join our culinary team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Commis I, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations and contributing to the creation of exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Assist in the daily preparation of ingredients and mise en place for your assigned station Stock and organize kitchen supplies, ensuring adequate inventory for smooth operations Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Follow recipes and cooking techniques as directed by senior kitchen staff Assist in the preparation and plating of dishes according to established standards Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene protocols Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and high-quality food production Support other kitchen stations as needed during peak hours Participate in regular kitchen meetings and training sessions to enhance culinary skills Contribute ideas for menu improvements and cost-saving measures Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; previous kitchen experience preferred Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and safety principles (including HACCP) Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and willingness to take direction from senior staff Basic math skills and ability to multitask in a dynamic kitchen setting Passion for cooking and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes and guest experiences
