Job Description This job opportunity is with a planned start date of 15th August 2025 Key Responsibilities: Assist with the preparation of pastries, desserts, baked goods, and plated sweets as per recipes and presentation standards. Handle daily mise en place for the pastry section. Follow instructions from senior chefs regarding recipes, portion sizes, and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of pastry stations and storage areas. Operate pastry equipment (mixers, ovens, etc.) safely and efficiently. Assist in stock rotation and proper storage of ingredients. Support in the production of pastry items for à la carte, buffet, banquet, and room service menus. Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times (e.g., HACCP). Report any issues with food quality or kitchen equipment promptly. Qualifications 1–2 years of experience in a professional pastry kitchen or bakery. Basic pastry knowledge (e.g., cakes, doughs, tarts, mousses). Culinary or pastry certification from a recognized institution preferred. Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn. Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays. Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
