IDEALLY, YOU’LL HAVE SOME OR ALL THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Previous experience in a commis chef within a five-star hotel or restaurant setting.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Passion for pastry and baking, with a strong desire to learn and grow within the culinary field.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare pastry items according to standardized recipes and portioning guidelines to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Support the daily operations of the pastry section, including baking, assembling, and decorating desserts.
  • Follow HACCP standards, ensuring safe food handling, storage, and sanitation at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supporting departments to meet guest preferences and service standards.
  • Assist with stock rotation, labeling, and inventory control to minimize waste and maintain product freshness.
