Our client, a successful restaurant group in Dubai, is looking for a motivated Commis III – Bakery & Pastry to assist in the preparation and production of a variety of baked goods, pastries, and desserts while maintaining the highest standards of quality and food safety. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in bakery and pastry who are eager to develop their skills in a professional kitchen. As a member of the pastry team, the Commis III will work under the guidance of the Head Pastry Chef, Sous Chef, Chef de Partie, and senior pastry team members to support daily production and ensure smooth kitchen operations. Primary Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of bakery and pastry items following recipes and instructions. Prepare ingredients, doughs, batters, fillings, and other pastry components. Support the baking, decorating, and finishing of breads, cakes, pastries, and desserts. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the pastry kitchen and workstations. Ensure proper handling and storage of ingredients and finished products. Operate bakery and pastry equipment safely under supervision. Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards at all times. Assist with stock rotation and help monitor ingredient levels. Learn and apply proper bakery and pastry techniques as directed by senior chefs. Support the pastry team during busy service periods and daily production. Perform other duties assigned by the Head Pastry Chef, Sous Chef, or Chef de Partie. Requirements 1–2 years of experience as a Commis Chef or Kitchen Assistant, preferably with experience in a bakery and pastry kitchen. Experience in a restaurant, hotel, bakery, or café is an advantage. Culinary diploma with a specialization in Baking & Pastry Arts or equivalent professional training is preferred. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Basic knowledge of bakery and pastry preparation techniques. Willingness to learn and develop bakery and pastry skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Able to work indoors in environments exposed to heat from ovens and cooking equipment. Able to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts. Physically capable of lifting bakery ingredients and supplies when required. Willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays, on a rotational basis. As per the company package
